HISTORY
FLAQ's History
Chiropractic
Latin American Federation (F.L.A.Q.) it was formed March 23 of
1988, in the city of Mexico, as Civil Association of
Professionals having as leader Dr. Enrique Benet Canut.
They
were present a Chiropractor from Mexico, Venezuela, Ecuador,
Guatemala, and Colombia.
Dr.
Enrique Benet-Canut was the first president.
It
was the hosted of the WFC's Council Meeting in 1994.
In
the 2005 a wide consultation was made among the Latin American
Associations to refloat FLAQ with very positive results.
The
First Official Meeting of FLAQ - it took place in Panama City,
February 12 of 2006. The same one was summoned with
extraordinary character having the presence of the following
countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Panama, Peru, and
as observers Guatemala, and Colombia. It was elected a Directive
Council, in interim form, being President Dr. Enrique Benet
Canut, of Mexico; Vice-president Dr. Alfredo Orillac, of Panama;
Secretary Dr. Raúl Cadagan, of Argentina and Treasurer Dr.
Carlos Ayres of Peru, and Dra. Sira Borges as Executive
Secretary. That Council had as objectives to restructure the
Federation, and to revise the Bylaws of FLAQ.
The
Second Official Meeting of FLAQ - Cancun, October 26 of 2006
having the presence of Mexico, Panama, Argentina, Chile, Peru,
Venezuela and Brazil, to revise and to discuss the bylaws,
amendments, modifications among other things.
The
Third Official Meeting of FLAQ - Panama, February of 2007
election of the new Directive Council and the final approval of
the Bylaws.
The
Directive Council meets for the first time at Vilamoura,
Portugal the day of May 13 of 2007.
